SmarTally® Sorter Edition is our third-generation sorting application for sawmill and planermill applications. Its intuitive design makes it an intelligent and flexible solution to your mill’s unique needs. The application is password-protected at the user-level, meaning that access to its screens be configured on a user-by-user basis. For added security, an auto sign-out feature ensures that users are logged out after a predetermined period of inactivity.
BIN SUMMARY
The Bin Summary screen provides you with an overview of your bins and their contents.
The Bin Summary screen provides you with a quick overview of your bins and the ability to modify their contents.
The contents of each bin can be seen in the navigation grid, and their details can be accessed quickly by simply clicking the desired bin. The attributes of a sorted product appear down the side of the screen where visual queues and icons let you see and respond to operator oversights early in the sorting process.
Set an online bin offline to disable it, set it to spare to manually clear its contents, or take an offline bin online to work with products that were previously put on hold. Bin states can be easily identified and controlled using the status field.
SORT SUMMARY
The Sort Summary screen provides you with an overview of the products being produced and sorted.
The Sort Summary screen provides you with a quick overview of your sorts and gives you the ability to create, delete and modify them.
The Sort Summary screen was created to make working with sorts fast and easy. Easily insert sorts where needed, move them up and down, or copy and paste them into position to keep them organized. You can view all of the attributes of a sort at a glance. Graphics, visual queues and icons let you see mistakes before sorting begins.
Creating sorts and adding mixes can be done through our drag and drop interface. It automatically generates a list of all possible products based on the parameters you provided and adding them to the system is only a matter of dragging and dropping one into the workspace. You can even select multiple items to quickly create long lists of products, or select individual items to combine them to create a product mix.
UPLOADING AND DOWNLOADING RUNS
Runs can be created in offline mode and downloaded to the PLC at any time. Likewise, any changes made to the PLC in online mode can be uploaded and saved to a run for use at a later date.
Quickly perform changeovers by creating a run offline and downloading it to the PLC at any time.
